On January 21, 2019, at approximately 12:20 a.m., police located a stolen vehicle driving eastbound on 6th Avenue from McTavish Street, until it came to a stop on 6th Avenue and Retallack Street, where the driver, a 30 year-old male, exited the vehicle, and was arrested by police.
Thirty year-old Billie BERTRAM, of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime, under $5,000 [CC 355(B)], and
- 2 X Fail to comply with probation order [CC 733.1(1)].
BERTRAM was released
with an officer’s recognizance to appear in Provincial Court on these charges
on Thursday, February 28th, 2019, at 9:30.
The vehicle in this instance was stolen on the night of Saturday, January 19,
2019, when it was left for a brief time in a parking lot, unlocked and running
with keys in the ignition. The Regina Police Service reminds the public to take
their keys with them when leaving their vehicles, even for a short period of
time.
