Four people were taken into police custody in the early morning hours of January 4, 2019 as the result of a police investigation led by the Street Gangs Unit and involving Patrol members as well as members of the Crisis Negotiation, Special Weapons and Tactics and Canine Teams in the 1400 block of Wascana Street. The arrests were made without injury to the suspects, members of the public or Police.
It’s anticipated there will be criminal charges as the result of these incidents; however, the investigation is ongoing and there are no other details available for release at this time. The Regina Police Service thanks the public, especially the residents of the 1400 block of Wascana Street and surrounding area, for their patience and co-operation in bringing these events to a peaceful conclusion.
