A thirty-six year-old male is charged as a result of a police investigation involving Regina Police Service members, led by the Street Gangs Unit, and involving patrol, members of the Crisis Negotiation Team, Special Weapons and Tactics, and Canine Unit.
On Thursday,
January 3, 2019, at approximately 9:30 p.m., police were dispatched to a
residence on the 1400 block of Wascana Street. Information received was that a
person had been shot with a firearm.
Police arrived at the residence and secured the scene. Two males were found in
the back yard of the residence, one of which had injuries consistent with a
firearm discharge. Police treated the injured male and the other male was
placed into custody. EMS arrived transported the injured male to hospital, with
injuries described as serious.
The residence was cleared and three people were placed in custody. A search
revealed a firearm and ammunition. Investigation into this incident led to
charges against a thirty-six year-old male.
Thirty-six year-old Tristan RAPHAEL, of Regina, is charged with:
- Aggravated Assault [CC 268(1)].
- 6 X Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order [CC 117.01(1)]; and
- Fail to comply with undertaking [CC 145(3)].
RAPHAEL makes his first appearance in Provincial Court on these charges on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 9:30 a.m.
