On Friday, April 19, 2019, at approximately 9:50 p.m. police were dispatched to the 3000 block of 5th Avenue for the report of a robbery.
A 34 year-old male was driving on 4th Avenue and stopped at the stop sign on Elphinstone when a suspect smashed the driver’s side front window. A male voice demanded his belongings, and the driver accelerated, fleeing to a nearby store on the 3000 block of 5th Avenue to call for help. Due to the shock of the incident and with his focus on getting away, the victim was not able to provide detailed suspect descriptions. It is believed that three to five suspects were involved in this attempted robbery, and there is an impression that one of the suspects was female. Attempts to locate suspects in the area were negative.
