The Regina Police Service is currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred early this morning, Sunday, April 21, 2019, in the 200 block of Fines Drive.
Police were dispatched at 5:10 am to a business in the 1900 block of Fleet Street for a report of two victims that had sustained injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. Police attended and located two victims who were taken to hospital by EMS. Both victims remain in hospital with injuries described at this time as non- life-threatening.
Investigation into this event appears to indicate a shooting took place outdoors in the 200 block of Fines Drive that the Police have since secured. Investigation into this aspect of the case is still active and ongoing. While there are still many outstanding questions with respect to the firearms offence, investigators believe this was not a random occurrence. Investigators are still conducting inquiries and searching for potential physical evidence in order to clarify the circumstances and determine who is involved in this event.
