On Friday, May 24, 2019, at approximately 8:34 p.m. police were dispatched to the intersection of 13 Avenue and Osler Street for a report of a two vehicle motor vehicle collision. Information was received that one of the drivers had fled the scene on foot.
Early stages of the investigation indicate that the vehicle westbound on 13 Avenue was struck by a southbound vehicle which had failed to stop for the stop sign on Osler Street. The impact of the collision caused the westbound vehicle to roll over onto its roof. The male driver, and lone occupant, of the westbound vehicle was transported by EMS to hospital for minor injuries. Immediately following the collision, the driver of the southbound vehicle fled the scene on foot. The male passenger of the southbound vehicle remained at the scene and did not require medical treatment.
The suspect diver was last seen fleeing southbound in the east alley of 2100 block Osler Street. The male suspect was described as Caucasian, approximately 5’10”, average build, balding, wearing a hat.
Attempts to locate the suspect in the area were negative. The police investigation into this incident continues.
