The Regina Police Service Drug Unit (RDU) completed an investigation into illegal drug trafficking within the cities of Regina and Moose Jaw. As a result of the investigation, with the assistance of the Moose Jaw Police Service, enforcement action was completed in both cities on Tuesday, May 21, 2019.
CDSA search warrants were executed in the Harbour Landing and Rosemont areas of Regina and the 900 block of Warner Street and the 1600 block of Stadacona Street West in Moose Jaw. Four individuals have been charged.
The results of the searches yielded a large volume of a variety of controlled substances, as well as currency and a prohibited firearm. The searches yielded:
- Over 200 grams of cocaine;
- Over 13 grams of crack cocaine;
- Over 750 grams of methamphetamine
- Nearly 334 grams of fentanyl;
- MDMA, also known as Ecstasy;
- $38,665.00 currency
- Loaded, sawed-off shotgun
As a result of the enforcement action 44 year-old Randal Ross ROCHAT of Moose Jaw, and 31 year-old Sara Ann MOISIUK of Regina, are jointly charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (Methamphetamine) [5(2)CDSA];
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (Cocaine) [5(2)CDSA];
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl) [5(2)CDSA]; and
- Possession of proceeds of crime (Canadian and American Currency) over $5000 [355(a)CC];
MOISIUK also received a charge of:
- Possession of a forged document [368(1)(D) CC].
In addition, 31 year-old Brendan Kyle KREKLEWICH and 31 year-old Dustin Raymond SCUDDER, both of Regina, are jointly charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (Cocaine) [5(2) CDSA];
- Possession of proceeds of crime (Canadian Currency) under $5000 [355(b) CC];
SCUDDER also received charges of:
- Unsafe storage of a firearm [86(1) CC];
- Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public [88 CC];
- Possession of a loaded, prohibited firearm [95(1) CC]; and
- Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) [4(1) CDSA); and
- Utter or use counterfeit money [452(a) CC].
KREKLEWICH also received a charge of:
- Breach of probation order [733.1(1) CC].
All four accused persons made their first appearances on these charges in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2019.
