The Regina Police Service wishes to advise the public and members of the media of a training session for the Regina Police Service Canine Unit, taking place today, Wednesday, May 15, 2019. This is part of regularly scheduled training for this Police Emergency Services team.
As part of today’s training exercise members of the public may see several police officers, Canine members and police vehicles in the area of 13 Avenue and Lewvan Drive between 12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Members of the public use the walking paths and green space in the area, so they may come upon the exercise. Members of the public and media are asked not to insert themselves into the exercise in any way. Other than the sight of police officers training at this location, there should be no disruption to the usual, everyday activity and traffic flow in the area.
The Regina Police Service is advising the media and public of this event so that people do not become unnecessarily alarmed, and would like to thank the media and the public for their cooperation.
