On Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at approximately 9:16 a.m.
police were dispatched to the 2600 block of 5th Avenue North for a
report of an attempted armed robbery.
A 64 year-old male at an apartment building at that location was approached by
a masked male suspect armed with a firearm.
The suspect demanded the keys to the victim’s vehicle, but left before
getting anything from the victim. The
victim was not physically injured.
The suspect was last seen fleeing eastbound on foot on 5th Avenue North. The male suspect was described as 5’6″ – 5’7″, wearing a blue hoodie, jeans, and a grey balaclava. Attempts to locate the suspect in the area were negative.
