Two adult males, both of Regina, face charges of Attempted Murder in connection with an incident last March.
This investigation began on Friday, March 15, 2019, at approximately 9:30 p.m., when police were dispatched to the 2100 block of Quance Street East for a weapons offence. Preliminary reports indicated a male had been shot and a suspect vehicle had left the scene. The male victim, who was 24 at the time, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Investigation into this event by the Regina Police Service Street Gang Unit led to arrests and charges against two males.
Twenty-six year old Karl Tyrone LERAT, of Regina, and 20 year-old Brandon Allan STARBLANKET of Regina is charged with Attempted Murder, contrary to section 239 of the Criminal Code. LERAT was arrested on June 19, 2019; STARBLANKET was the subject of a warrant and was arrested, without incident, on June 26, 2019. Both men have already made their first court appearance on these charges.
