The Regina Police Service has charged a 49 year-old male in connection with what is now a homicide investigation in the case of an adult female found deceased yesterday in the 1500 block of Cameron Street.
The victim has been identified as 51 year-old Janice Elaine WHITEQUILL, of Regina. Her family has been notified of her death. Janice WHITEQUILL is the fifth victim of homicide in Regina in 2019.
This investigation began when police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Cameron Street at 4:12 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2019. Police and EMS located an adult female, deceased, just outside a home at that location. Officers secured the scene and requested additional resources, including Forensic Identification and Major Crimes. Investigation into this death led to the arrest of a 49 year-old male who has been charged.
Forty-nine year-old Morley Dean WHITEQUILL, of Regina, is charged with Second Degree Murder, section 235(1) of the Criminal Code. Morley WHITEQUILL will make his first court appearance on this charge in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. today (Wednesday), June 26, 2019.
