The Regina Police Service is asking for information from the public that may assist in a weapons offence investigation. At approximately 11:29 p.m., on Saturday July 13, 2019, police were dispatched to the area of Fleet Street and Dewdney Ave East for the report of a suspicious vehicle. The victims, a 19 year-old male driver and his 19 year-old female passenger, called police when another vehicle with 4 occupants began to follow them. As both vehicles proceeded westbound on Victoria Avenue approaching the Ring Road, the driver of the suspect vehicle fired four to five rounds at the victim’s vehicle. The victim vehicle was able to turn off and proceed in a different direction. The victims were not physically injured.
The suspect vehicle was described as an older White Chevrolet Malibu with rust around the wheel wells. It was last seen driving westbound on Victoria Avenue from the Ring Road.
The suspect driver was described as Indigenous, male, approximately 30-40 years-old, with a buzz cut hair style.
All three passengers in the suspect vehicle were described as Indigenous, female, heavy set, with long, straight, dark hair.
