Residents of the Uplands community in Regina may have noted increased police activity in their neighbourhood last night. Two adult males were arrested on outstanding property-crime-related warrants and taken into custody without incident.
At approximately 5:49 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2019, police confirmed that two individuals, both subjects of warrants for arrest, were inside a residence in the 300 block of Oakview Drive. Patrol members, with the help of Stolen Auto investigators and a Canine unit, set up a perimeter around that residence. One of the males emerged from the residence and was taken into custody without incident. Police continued to negotiate with the second individual, who finally came out of the residence at about 9:50 p.m. There was no use of force or property damage in these arrests.
Twenty-four year-old Jordan Joseph LYLYK and 23 year-old Calvin Roy SPARVIER, both of Regina, will appear in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2019. Investigation into other, potentially related, matters is ongoing.
