Police have charged a 64 year-old male in connection with a robbery yesterday and are asking the public for information that may lead to a second suspect.
Police were dispatched at about 1:04 a.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2019, to a weapons offence at a business in the 800 block Argyle Street North. Initial information in the call indicated there were two males with guns inside the establishment. Police arrived at the scene and found one of the suspects still inside. This suspect had sustained an injury which resulted from an apparent physical confrontation with witnesses/victims inside the business. The second suspect had fled. The first suspect was taken to hospital by EMS; a pellet gun pistol was recovered at the scene. Suspect #1 was charged as the result of police investigation. The second suspect is still being sought by police. A preliminary description of the second suspect is: male, 5’ 10” to 6’ tall, carrying what appeared to be a firearm, wearing a dark hoodie with the hood up, light pants, dark shoes, gloves and a mask covering his face.
Sixty-four year-old Ronald George GREAVES, of Regina, is charged with:
- Armed Robbery Using a Firearm [344(1)(A.1)CC];
- Disguise With Intent [351(2) CC];
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm [91(1) CC]; and
- Breach of Undertaking [145(3) CC].
GREAVES appeared before a Justice of the Peace and was remanded on his charges.
