On Sept. 10, 2019 at approximately 8:00 p.m. police were dispatched to a residence in the 1200 block of King St for a report of a Robbery and Forcible confinement incident.
The victim was invited into a residence on the 1200 block of King St where he was accosted by 3 males and a female brandishing what the victim believed to be a handgun, a long gun, a machete, and a hammer. The victim was bound and robbed of his cell phone, wallet, and keys to his car. The victim was able to free himself, depart the residence, and call for police assistance. The victim advised police that his vehicle had been stolen by the suspects as it was no longer at the residence.
The recently stolen vehicle was observed nearby the offence location by patrol members. Surveillance on the stolen vehicle was conducted by on-duty plain clothes members. The vehicle attended to a business in the Harbour Landing area where a male and a female were taken into custody. A search of the offence location yielded no further suspects. This incident is still under investigation.
Twenty-six year old Arlen LAROCQUE of Regina is charged with:
- Armed Robbery Using a firearm [CC 344(1)(A.1)];
- Forcible Confinement [CC 279(2)];
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 [CC 355(a)];
- 3 x Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order [CC 117.01(1)]; and
- Fail to Comply with Undertaking [CC 145(3)].
Twenty year old Jayleen MCNAB of Regina is charged with:
- Armed Robbery Using a firearm [CC 344(1)(A.1)];
- Forcible Confinement [CC 279(2)];
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 [CC 355(a)];
- Fail to Comply with Undertaking [CC 145(3)]; and
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order [CC 733.1(1)].
Both will make their first appearance in court on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. in Courtroom #2 – 1815 Smith Street, Regina, Sask.
