UPDATE: The roadway has been cleared and traffic is resuming as normal.
On Saturday September 14, 2019 at 14:35 p.m., police were dispatched to the Ring Road (Highway #1 Bypass) and Assiniboine Ave for a report of a semi-tractor emitting smoke. Police secured the scene and have begun redirecting traffic away from the intersection. Regina Fire and Protective Services are also on scene.
Police are notifying the public to avoid the Ring Road northbound from south Albert Street to Assiniboine Avenue.
Motorists and pedestrians are asked to choose another route until such time this section of the roadway can be made safe.
