A male and female are facing charges in connection with a vehicle stolen from outside Regina on August 16, 2019. On that date, a Black Jeep Grand Cherokee was reported stolen from a farm north of Sedley, Saskatchewan.
On Friday, August 30, 2019, police located a vehicle that matched the description of the stolen vehicle, but the plate didn’t match that of the stolen Jeep. Investigation revealed the plate on the Jeep was instead a license plate that had been stolen from a white Nissan Rogue. Plainclothes officers kept the suspected stolen Jeep in view until it parked in the area of 4th Avenue and Pasqua Street. The two occupants of the vehicle were arrested without incident. A search of the vehicle revealed another license plate registered to a person in Moose Jaw. A backpack in the vehicle contained identity documents belonging to the victim of a street robbery in Regina on August 11th. Subsequent investigation led to charges against both persons in custody.
Fifty year-old Robert Louis RACINE, of Balcarres, Saskatchewan, is charged with:
- Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000 [355(a) CC];
- 2 x Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000 [355(b) CC]; and
- 4 x Driving While Prohibited [320.18 CC].
Twenty-four year-old Cree Summer STRONGARM, of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000 [355(a) CC];
- 2 x Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000 [355(b) CC]; and

Both accused made their first court appearances on these charges in Provincial Court on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.
