The Regina Police Service is confirming that 57 year-old Joan Marie STRICKER, who was the subject of a Missing Persons’ news release issued earlier, has been located, deceased. The Saskatchewan Coroners’ Service is continuing the investigation, assisted by the Regina Police Service and the RCMP.
The full circumstances of this death are still a matter for investigation. Police can confirm a vehicle, matching the description of Joan STRICKER’s vehicle, was found, on September 22nd in the RM of Edenwold. The Regina Police Service issued a news release, asking for help from the public, as police organized a search of the area where the vehicle was located. The search involved the Saskatchewan RCMP, Regina Police Service and SAR Saskatchewan (Search and Rescue). This afternoon, September 23rd, searchers located a deceased individual approximately 1.6 kilometres away from the location of the abandoned vehicle. The identity of the deceased person was confirmed to be Joan Marie STRICKER. Her family has been notified of her death.
