A 22 year-old man is facing charges after a stolen auto incident.
On Monday, November 4, 2019, just before midnight, Regina Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Robinson Street after a caller reported his vehicle had just been stolen.
Police located the vehicle in question nearby, confirmed it to be stolen, and attempted to stop the vehicle on 4th Avenue. The driver of the vehicle sped up and attempted to evade police. A short while later, the driver of the stolen vehicle was apprehended and charged.
22 year-old Lionel Gerald OBEY of Regina is charged with:
- Theft of Motor Vehicle [CC 333.1(1)];
- Flight From Police Officer [CC 320.17];
- Operate Conveyance Dangerous to Public [CC 320.13(1)]; and
- Failure to Comply With Probation Order [CC 733.1(1)].
OBEY made his first court appearance in Provincial Court this morning (November 5, 2019) at 9:30 a.m.
