A 27 year old man is facing charges after a stolen vehicle was recovered early this morning.
On Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at approximately 3:30 a.m., patrol officers located a vehicle that was confirmed to be stolen. When police attempted to stop the vehicle near Dewdney Avenue and Albert Street, the driver evaded police. Officers then deployed a spike belt nearby and the vehicle came to a stop a short time later. The driver, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, was arrested without incident.
As a result, 27 year-old Scott Edward Andrew PELLETIER is charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 [CC 355 (b)]; and
- Flight From Peace Officer [CT 320.17].
PELLETIER will make his first court appearance on the charges in Provincial Court on January 14, 2020.
