Three people: 22 and 35 year-old males, and a 50 year-old female, are facing charges in connection with a weekend Break and Enter to a business in north-west Regina.
On Sunday, November 24, 2019, at approximately 11:58 p.m., police were dispatched to a business in the 1000 block of N. Arnason Street. Initial information was that there had been a Break and Enter. Two male suspects were last seen running toward Arnason Street. Moments later, police received a call of a suspicious vehicle near Arnason and Dalgleish. Two males were seen getting into a car parked there with lights off. The vehicle went to a nearby coffee shop and one person went inside. A canine team was able to establish a track that led from the scene of the Break and Enter to the area where the car had picked up two males. While some officers went to the scene of the B&E, other officers went to the nearby coffee shop and made three arrests. Further investigation led to charges.
Fifty year-old Kimberley Colette GOODWIN, 22 year-old Cree William Joseph LAFERTE and 35 year-old Pierre Randolf LAFERTE, all of Regina, are charged with Break, Enter and Commit Theft [348 (1)(b) CC].
Both Cree LAFERTE and Pierre LAFERTE are jointly charged with Possession of Break-in Instruments [351(1) CC]. In addition, both Cree LAFERTE and Pierre LAFERTE each face charges of Breach of Undertaking [145(3) CC].
All three accused made their first appearances on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. today, Monday, November 25, 2019.
