On December 26, 2019, a male walked out of a retail business on the 4400 block of Rochdale Boulevard with unpaid merchandise. The items later appeared on a social media marketplace and the 39 year-old male was contacted through social media to return the property. The male refused.
On December 29, 2019, police executed a search warrant on a residence on the 1100 block of Edgar Street, in Regina. A search of the residence revealed the stolen merchandise, as well as merchandise from a theft incident on December 16, 2019, at a retail business on the 1400 block of McIntyre Street, and merchandise from a theft incident on December 18, 2019, at a retail business on the 4900 block of Gordon Road. A firearm was also recovered.
A search of the residence revealed another firearm, which led to the arrest a 56 year-old male.
Thirty-nine year-old Devon Shane BREHAUT, of Regina, is charged with:
• Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 [CC 355(B)];
• Breach of undertaking [CC 733.1(1)];
• Breach of undertaking [CC 145(4)(A)];
• Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order [CC 117.01(1)];
• Possession of firearm obtained by crime [CC 96(1)];
• 3 X Theft under $5,000 [CC 334(B)]; and
• 3 X Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 [CC 355(B)].
Fifty-six year-old Stacy Darwin MILLHAM, of Regina, is charged with:
• Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order [CC 117.01(1)];
• Careless use of firearm [CC 86(1)];
• Possession of a weapon [CC 88];
• Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized [CC 92(1)];
• Possession of prohibited/restricted firearm with ammunition [CC 95(1)(A)]; and
• Possession of firearm obtained by crime [CC 96(1)].
BREHAUT made his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on Monday, December 30th, 2019.
MILLHAM makes his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on Monday, February 24th, 2020.
