Three people are facing charges after a stolen vehicle was recovered.
On Monday, January 6, 2020, members of the Regina Police Service located a vehicle that was believed to be stolen sometime in the early morning of December 25, 2019. Once the vehicle was confirmed stolen, officers kept the vehicle in sight until it stopped on the 1000 block of McTavish Street. Three occupants exited the vehicle and were arrested. A search incident to arrest revealed the keys to the stolen vehicle, as well as identity documents and a stolen cheque.
Forty eight year-old Carl Joseph LAROCHELLE is facing charges of:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 [CC 355 (a)];
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 [CC 355 (b)];
- 2 X Identity Fraud / Possession of an Identity Document [CC 56.1(1)]; and
- Fail to Comply With Condition of an Undertaking [CC 145 (4)(a)].
Forty year-old Lee Douglas REDIGER is facing charges of:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 [CC 355 (a)]; and
- Fail to Comply With Probation Order [CC 733.1(1)].
Twenty three year-old Nynpha Janine STARR-KAISWATUM is facing charges of:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 [CC 355 (a)];
- Obstruct Peace Officer [CC 129 (a)];
- Fail to Comply With Probation Order [CC 733.1(1)].
LAROCHELLE, REDIGER and STARR-KAISWATUM all made their first court appearances on these charges in Provincial Court on January 7, 2020 at 9:30 a.m.
