On January 4, 2020, at approximately 9:30 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Rae Street for a report of a home invasion. Four suspects armed with firearms reportedly forced their way into a residence and discharged a firearm. It is believed the suspects fled the scene driving a grey coloured Chrysler 300.
On Sunday January 5, 2020, at approximately 2:15 a.m., the suspect vehicle believed to be involved in this home invasion was seen driving in the area of 4th Avenue and Lewvan Drive. Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the vehicle failed to stop for police. A short time later police saw the vehicle stopped in the east alley of 1100 block Garry Street. Three suspects were observed fleeing from the vehicle. Patrol officers, with the assistance of two K9 units, apprehended all three suspects. Police are continuing their investigation into the home invasion and the evade police occurrence.
