On March 7th, 2020, as a result of an ongoing investigation involving the Street Gang Unit, SWAT, SHOCAP, and Patrol Officers, a search warrant was authorized for a residence in the 1000 block of Wascana Street. Five people were safely taken into custody. A search of the residence revealed the seizure of three firearms, a substantial quantity of methamphetamine, fentanyl, and ammunition.
Twenty one year old Dylan PRATT, of Regina, has been charged with:
- Careless storage of a firearm [CC 86 (2)];
- 3 x Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose [CC 88];
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm [CC 91 (1)];
- Possession of prohibited firearm with ammunition [CC 95(1)];
- Possession of a weapon obtained by commission of offence [CC 96 (1)];
- Breach of probation [CC 733.1 (1)]; and
- 2 x possession for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine, fentanyl) [CDSA 5 (2)].
A 17 year-old youth, who will not be named in keeping with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with:
- 2 x Careless storage of a firearm [CC 86 (2)];
- 2 x Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose [CC 88];
- 2 x Unauthorized possession of a firearm [CC 92 (1)];
- Possession of prohibited firearm with ammunition [CC 95(1)];
- 2 x Possession of a weapon obtained by commission of offence [CC 96 (1)];
- Possession of a schedule substance (methamphetamine) [CDSA 4 (1)]; and
- 2 x Possession of weapon contrary to prohibition order [CC 117.01 (1)].
Twenty-four year-old Hailey GEORGE, of Regina, has been charged with:
- 2 x Possession for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine, fentanyl) [CDSA 5 (2)]; and
- Fail to comply with recognizance [CC 145 (3)].
Forty-one year-old Elizabeth GEORGE, of Regina, has been charged with:
- Possession of a schedule substance (methamphetamine) [CDSA 4 (1)].
A 17 year-old youth, who will not be named in keeping with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with:
- Possession of a schedule substance (methamphetamine) [CDSA 4 (1)]; and
- Breach of probation [CC 733.1 (1)].
PRATT and a youth will be held for Provincial Court on March 10th, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. Elizabeth GEORGE, Hailey GEORGE, and the latter youth will be released with a future court date.
