On January 17, 2020, police recovered an abandoned vehicle on the 3400 block of Dewdney Avenue. The vehicle had been previously reported as stolen on January 13, 2020. Investigation led to a 36 year-old male. During the investigation it was learned that the male had stolen merchandise from a retail store on 3800 block of Albert Street. The male was arrested on warrant on February 27, 2020, and charged with the theft. Upon his arrest, he was found to be in possession of stolen property from a separate incident which occurred earlier that day, February 27, 2020, at a store on the 700 block of Albert Street.
Thirty-six year-old Robert STEELE, of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 [CC 355(A)];
- 2 X Theft under $5,000 [CC 334(B)].
STEELE made his first appearance in Provincial Court on these charges on February 28, 2020.
