The Regina Police Service confirms that a second fatality has occurred as the result of a motor vehicle incident on Ring Road on March 2, 2020.
At 12:05 a.m. on Monday, March 2, 2020, police were dispatched to a report of an incident involving a single vehicle, which was reported to be in the ditch off Ring Road between Albert Street and Wascana Parkway. There were three occupants inside the vehicle. The driver, a 23 year old male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two other occupants were taken to hospital by EMS.
One of the passengers, a 22 year-old male who was previously reported to be in critical condition, died of his injuries in hospital on Sunday, March 8. The third occupant of the vehicle, a 24 year-old male, is still listed in serious condition.
Next of kin notification for the deceased victims has been completed.
The Regina Police Service, along with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, is continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision.
