On Sunday, April 19, 2020 at approximately 3:30 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of Albert Street and 5th Avenue for a report of a weapons offence. Information provided to police suggested a motorist was being closely followed by a vehicle on Albert Street. The suspect vehicle then pulled up beside the motorist and flashed what was believed to be a firearm.
Police located the suspect vehicle parked at a residence on Wells Street, and patrol officers surrounded the residence. All occupants of the residence exited the home, and one of the occupants was determined to be the male driving the suspect vehicle. A search incident to arrest revealed an imitation firearm (pellet gun) located on the driver’s side of the suspect vehicle.
Twenty three year-old Christopher Walter KROCK has been charged with:
- Assault With a Weapon [CC 267 (A)];
- Possession Of a Weapon [CC 88]; and
- Use of Imitation Firearm During Commission of an Indictable Offence [CC 85 (2)(A)].
KROCK will make his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on June 29, 2020 at 9:30 a.m.
