The Regina Police Service is asking for information from the public to help solve two incidents believed to be connected; a weapons offence and a robbery that occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
On Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at approximately 6:00 a.m., police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Argyle Street for a report of an armed robbery. Early information suggests a male was in the driver’s seat of his vehicle when he was approached by two suspect males; one of which was said to be carrying a firearm. The suspect males demanded property from the victim, removed him from his vehicle, and stole the vehicle.
Investigation led police to the recovery of the vehicle in the 1300 block of Montague Street.
Meanwhile, at approximately 7:20 a.m., police were dispatched to a report of a weapons offence involving a firearm in the 1400 block of Montague Street. The offence was said to have occurred at approximately 4:40 a.m. When police arrived, they located a vehicle that had been shot at, and suspect descriptions of the males involved in this firearms offence matched the descriptions of two of the suspects from the theft of auto on Argyle Street.
Suspect #1 is described as male, wearing a white hoodie, dark coloured shoes, and a straight peak hat. He is said to have been carrying a back pack and riding a white bike.
Suspect #2 is described as male, wearing a grey hoodie, blue/dark jeans and dark coloured shoes.
Suspect #3 is described as male, wearing dark jeans and a grey hoodie. He is said to have been carrying a firearm.
