Two adult males, who are remanded in custody, have been charged after allegedly intimidating witnesses and making death threats to witnesses in the Thurston Mintuck homicide case.
Between December 2019 and April 2020, the Regina Police Service became aware that two inmates in custody at the Regina Provincial Correctional Centre were allegedly disguising their use of the phone systems at the Centre to avoid detection while threatening and intimidating witnesses for an upcoming criminal trial. These inmates were under court-ordered conditions prohibiting them from having any contact with the witnesses during the time of the alleged offence. It is alleged the accused have reached out to witnesses, making threats against them and their families, in order to manipulate their court testimony.
Investigation into this matter led to charges against a 30 year-old male and a 27 year-old male. On June 4, 2020 the males were arrested and charged with intimidation of a justice participant.
Thirty year-old Timothy Mitchell LOUISON, of Regina, is charged with:
- Intimidation of a justice system participant [CC 423.1(1)(B)].
Twenty-seven year-old Nayo Pisim FOX, of Regina, is charged with:
- Intimidation of a justice system participant [CC 423.1(1)(B)].
Both accused persons appeared in Provincial Court on this matter on Friday, June 5, 2020.
The investigators in this case are requesting anyone with knowledge of these events to contact the Major Crimes Unit at the Regina Police Service.
