Two males are facing charges after investigation into drug trafficking in Regina.
On Friday, July 24, 2020, as a result of investigation by the Regina Drug Unit (RDU), police executed CDSA search warrants on a residence on the 4600 block of East Primrose Green Drive, two vehicles, and a farm northeast of Regina. Seized in the searches were quantities of substances believed to be cocaine, fentanyl, liquid codeine, and another unidentified powder substance, as well as a loaded firearm, drug paraphernalia, and over $50,000 in currency.
As a result, 27 year-old Stephan Carlise RAHEEM-CUMMINGS, of Brandt County, Ontario, and 30 year-old Ayad Adeeb BADI, of Regina, are jointly charged with:
- Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) [CDSA 5(2)].
RAHEEM-CUMMINGS is also charged with:
- Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) [CDSA 5(2];
- Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl) [CDSA 5(2];
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000 [CC 355];
- 3 X Possession of firearm/ammunition contrary to prohibition order [CC 117.01(1)];
- Fail to comply with probation order [CC 733.1(1)];
- Careless storage of a firearm [CC 86(2)];
- Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized [CC 92(1)];
- Unauthorized possession of firearm/ammunition in a motor vehicle [CC 94(1)(a)(ii)];
- Possession of a loaded or restricted firearm [CC 95(1)];
- Possession of a weapon [CC 88]; and
- Carry concealed weapon [CC 90].
BADI is also charged with:
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000 [CC 355].
Both charged will make their first appearance in Provincial Court on Monday, July 27, 2020, at 2:00 p.m.
