A 32 year-old female has been arrested and charged in connection to two separate robberies; one dating back to 2017.
On Saturday, July 29, 2017 at approximately 1:30 a.m, police were dispatched to a report of a break and enter in the 4500 block of 2nd Avenue North. Early information provided to police was that a male had invited a female into his residence. She left, but returned a short time later. At the same time she returned, a male entered the back door of the residence with a large dog. The female allegedly stole items from the victims residence and the victim was allegedly forced to inhale an unknown substance, believed to be drugs.
On June 23, 2020 at approximately 6 a.m., police were dispatched to the 200 block of Albert Street North for a report of a robbery. Investigation revealed a male victim attended a residence in the 1000 block of Retallack Street to meet a female acquaintance. The victim was sitting in his parked vehicle when the female approached his vehicle. At the same time, a male suspect forced his way into the passenger side of the vehicle. The suspect male allegedly assaulted the victim, threatened the victim, and instructed him to drive to a bank to take out money at an ATM. When the victim arrived at the bank, he left the vehicle, fled on foot and called police. Further investigation revealed that the male and female suspects were known to each other. As a result:
Thirty two year-old Erin Lynn KEEWATIN, of Regina, has been charged in connection with the July 29, 2017 and the June 23, 2020 robberies:
• 2 X Robbery [CC 344 (1)(B)].
• Theft Under $5000 [CC 334 (B)];
• Unlawfully At Large [CC 145 (1)].
Forty year-old Kelly Eugene CHARBONNEAU, of Regina, has been charged in connection with the June 23, 2020 robbery:
• Robbery [CC 344 (1)(B)];
• Forcible Confinement [CC 279 (2)].
KEEWATIN and CHARBONNEAU both made their first court appearances on these charges before Provincial Court this morning (Monday, July 27, 2020) at 9:30 a.m.
