A 21 year-old Regina male is facing charges after an investigation into a robbery and assault that occurred in mid-August.
On Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at approximately 9:05 p.m., police were dispatched to a report of a robbery on the 300 block of Rae Street N. When police arrived, they located an injured male victim. The victim had allegedly been approached by an unknown male who asked to borrow the victim’s phone; the male suspect then assaulted the victim, stole his phone and other personal property, and fled on foot. The male was transported to hospital by EMS.
Investigation led police to identifying the suspect and on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, officers arrested and charged the male.
Twenty-one year-old Tyler Eric GOFORTH, of Regina, has been charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344 (1)(B)];
- Aggravated Assault [CC 268(1)];
- Fail To Comply With Probation Order [CC 733.1 (1)].
GOFORTH made his first court appearance on the charges this morning (Thursday, August 3, 2020) at 9:30 a.m.
