On Sunday, September 13, 2020, at approximately 2:15 p.m., police were dispatched to a business on the 2800 block of E Quance Street, for a potential weapons offence. A male customer had been made to wait inside the business and got into an argument with a staff member. The male exited the store, retrieved an object from his vehicle, and re-entered the business, asking for the same staff member he’d spoken to earlier. The staff member, fearing for his safety, had left the front area. The suspect male went back to his vehicle momentarily, then re-entered, requesting staff names and schedules. He then left in a vehicle.
Investigation led to a forty-five year-old male, who was arrested on the 400 block of Montreal Street.
Forty-five year-old Ignacio Padrigan MARAVILLAS, Jr., of Regina, is charged with:
- Uttering threats [CC 264.1(1)(A)]; and
- Possession of a weapon [CC 88].
MARAVILLAS is scheduled to make his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on November 2, 2020, at 9:30 a.m.
