The Regina Police Service is investigating a firearms offence which occurred at approximately 9:34 p.m., on Friday, October 24, 2020. Police do not believe anyone was injured in relation to the incident. The investigation led to the arrest of a male in which a CEW, commonly known as a Taser, was deployed. The investigation is ongoing.

The use of the CEW has been documented as per policy and will be reviewed by a Use of Force Committee – a committee within the Service. All uses of force are also reported to the Saskatchewan Police Commission – an oversight body independent of the Regina Police Service.
