A 24 year-old male has been charged in connection with a shooting incident in the early-morning hours of Tuesday, September 29th. He is the third person in this case to be charged with Attempted Murder. A fourth male faces firearms charges.
On September 29, 2020, at 12:08 a.m., police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Athol Street for a male who’d sustained what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Officers at the scene rendered first aid until EMS arrived and transported the victim, a 28 year-old Regina male, to hospital. By the evening of September 29th, three Regina males were arrested and charged. Warrants were obtained for the arrest of a fourth male suspect. The arrest was carried out by RCMP in the Broadview area, without incident, the night of Wednesday, September 30th.
Twenty-four year-old Faizon Trey ALEXSON, of Regina, is charged with:
- Attempted Murder Using a Firearm [239(1)(a.1) CC];
- Use of a Firearm in the Commission of an Indictable Offence [85(1)(a) CC];
- Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order 117.01(1) CC]; and
- Breach of Probation [733.1(1) CC].
ALEXSON will make his first appearance on these charges before Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2020.
