On Saturday, October 24, 2020, at approximately 2:00 a.m., a male suspect got out of a taxicab on the 600 block of Athol Street, leaving some items on the roof of the vehicle. When the taxicab driver noticed the suspect had left the items, he called out to the suspect, who returned, pulled a knife on a taxicab driver, and robbed the driver of the vehicle.
The vehicle was recovered later that morning at approximately 9:45 a.m. on the 600 block of Elphinstone Street.
Investigation into the matter led to the identification of a 27 year-old man, who was in violation of conditions of probation. The man was arrested on November 19, 2020.
Twenty-seven year-old Nathaniel Vincent RUNNS, of Regina, is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)]; and
- Fail to comply [CC 733.1(1)].
RUNNS made his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on these charges today, Friday, November 20, 2020, at 9:30 a.m.
