A 23 year-old female is facing impaired-driving-related charges after a collision in Regina on the weekend that resulted in injuries to two adults.
On Saturday, December 5, 2020, at about 10:30 p.m., the Regina Police Service received numerous calls about a motor vehicle collision at Prince of Wales Drive and Victoria Avenue. Police arrived and located two vehicles: a White Honda Civic and a black Chevrolet Malibu. Preliminary investigation indicated the Civic was proceeding southbound on Prince of Wales Drive, approaching Victoria Avenue. The Malibu was westbound on Victoria Avenue, approaching Prince of Wales Drive. The two vehicles collided in the intersection, seriously injuring the 25 year-old male passenger in the Malibu. The 23 year-old female passenger in the Civic also sustained injuries. Both victims were taken to hospital by EMS. The 22 year-old female driver of the Malibu was not injured. At the scene, the officer dealing with the driver of the Civic made observations that led to the suspicion that the driver was impaired by alcohol. Further investigation led to charges against the 23 year-old female driver of the Civic.
Twenty-three year-old Aisha Halle LAROSE, of Regina, is charged with:
- 2 X Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm [320.14(2) CC]; and
- Exceed .08 [320.14(1)(b) CC].
LAROSE was released with a future court date of December 22, 2020 at 9:30 a.m.
