On December 9, 2020, the Regina Drug Unit (RDU) completed a drug trafficking investigation in Regina and charged a 31 year-old Regina male.
On Wednesday, December 9, 2020, the Drug Unit, with the assistance of the Street Gang Unit, completed enforcement action, executing four Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrants in the Assiniboine East area, Cathedral area, Lakeview area and a closed business in the 2100 block of Grant Drive, Regina. At the completion of the search warrants, cocaine, currency, and several items utilized to traffic controlled substances were seized.
As a result of the investigation, 31 year-old Abdimalik Dahir MOHAMED, of Regina, was charged with the following drug trafficking and Criminal Code offences:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) S.5(2)CDSA; and
- Proceeds of crime under $5000 S.355(b) CC.
MOHAMED was released with a future court date of January 20, 2021.
