The Regina Police Service is asking the public’s assistance in solving a robbery that occurred this morning (Wednesday) in the 2200 block of 14th Avenue.
At approximately 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, police were dispatched to a business in the 2200 block of 14th Avenue for a robbery in progress. Early information indicated a female suspect entered the business and pulled a firearm from the pocket of her jacket. The suspect demanded and received an undisclosed amount of money from an employee before leaving the premises. It is unknown whether the suspect fled on foot or in a vehicle; police did an area check but did not find the suspect. Although no one was physically injured in this incident, there is no doubt this was a traumatizing event for the victim. The suspect is described as: female, approximately 5’ 6” tall, approximately 20-30 years old. The suspect was wearing a dark “puffy” winter jacket, dark pants, and possibly a dark toque with the hood of the jacket pulled up. The suspect has brown eyes and dark brows, but she was also wearing a scarf over her face, so there is limited information about her appearance. The firearm was described as an apparent handgun.
Anyone who has information that could assist police in this investigation is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). The Regina Police Service thanks the media and the public for their assistance in this matter.
