Regina Police Service investigators charged a second person in connection with the 2nd homicide in 2021 in Regina. Yesterday (Thursday) a 39 year-old male was charged with second-degree murder in the homicide of 30 year-old Jeffrey Gerald LEHTO of Regina. Now a second person faces the same charge.
This investigation began as an assault case at approximately 8:50 p.m. on January 19, 2021, when police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Quebec Street for a report of an injured male. When police and EMS arrived, they found a male who had sustained injuries described as serious. EMS transported the male to hospital, where he passed away on January 20, 2021. The investigation became a homicide case. A 39 year-old male was charged on January 21st; continued investigation led to the arrest of a 47 year-old male.
Forty-seven year-old Harvey Vince HUNTINGHAWK, of Regina, is charged with Second-Degree Murder, contrary to section 235(1) of the Criminal Code. HUNTINGHAWK will make his first court appearance on this charge in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. (today) on Friday, January 22, 2021.
