The Regina Police is continuing its investigation into a vehicle/pedestrian collision last night which is now also a death investigation. The pedestrian victim: a 74 year-old female, passed away in hospital last night.
The collision itself occurred just before 5:40 p.m., on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. Police were dispatched to McIntosh St North and Dalgliesh Drive for a report of a pedestrian-involved collision. The initial investigation indicates an adult female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the intersection of McIntosh Street and Dalgliesh Drive. The female was transported to hospital by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) with injuries described as serious. Yesterday evening, police learned that the victim had passed away in hospital. The identity of the victim will not be released by the Regina Police Service. Police also have had contact with the driver of the vehicle, who remained at the scene, but at this early stage, investigators have not drawn conclusions as to the circumstances of this collision.
