A 22 year-old male has been charged with Robbery in connection with an incident in downtown Regina yesterday (Feb. 18th).
Police were dispatched to a business in the 1800 block of Scarth Street at about 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, February 18, 2021. Preliminary information indicated a male entered the business and, when the employee at the counter stepped into the back part of the store, it’s alleged the male grabbed a tip jar from the counter. The employee challenged the suspect and asked for the money back; an argument ensued. A security employee attempted to stop the suspect, but he exited the store. Police located the suspect, based on witness observations. The male was detained without further incident and then, upon completion of the investigation, was charged.
Twenty-two year-old Teeboy LAMADINE, of Regina, is charged with Robbery, section 344(1)(b) of the Criminal Code. LAMADINE made his first court appearance on the charge in Provincial Court (today) Friday, February 19, 2021.
