Three adult males and two adult females are facing charges after an incident over the weekend.
On Friday, February 12, 2021, members of the Regina Police Service Stolen Auto Unit located a stolen vehicle in the 2200 block of Wallace Street. Officers deployed a spike belt on the vehicle and the driver eventually stopped the vehicle on 14th Avenue near Athol Street and multiple people fled on foot. Police set up a perimeter and members of the Canine Unit began tracking in the area. The K9 track led police to locate an adult female who was taken into custody. A K9 track of a second suspect led police to the location of an adult male, who ran from the K9 team. After a foot pursuit, the adult male was taken into custody. In a search incident to arrest, officers recovered identification on the male that did not belong to him.
