The Regina Police Service has concluded an investigation into alleged recent cases of fraud.
The Regina Police Service Stolen Auto Unit led this investigation which examined recent sales of used vehicles on an internet-based marketplace. It was alleged that the party offering these vehicles for sale was misrepresenting the wear on the vehicles by tampering with the odometers. In each case, the owner’s asking price exceeded the vehicle’s value. Investigation led to identification of two suspects
Both males were arrested on March 31, 2021 and charged.
Twenty-nine year-old Robin David PAISLEY, of Regina, is charged with:
- 3 X Fraud over $5,000 [380(1)(a) CC];
- 3 X Fraud under $5,000 [380(1)(b) CC]; and
- Breach of Probation [733.1(1) CC].
A 37 year-old male was also charged with Fraud over $5,000 [380(1)(a) CC], but the Crown withdrew the charge in November of 2021.
