A 28 year-old woman and 27 year-old man are facing numerous charges after an investigation led by Integrated Crime Reduction Team (ICRT) and assisted by members of patrol.
On April 8, 2021 officers observed a vehicle with two occupants inside, involved in behavior consistent with drug trafficking. Patrol officers attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle evaded police and drove away at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was located and the occupants were taken into custody as they attempted to flee from it.
CDSA search warrants were executed on a hotel room, a residence and on the vehicle. A large volume of controlled substances was seized including approximately 270 grams of methamphetamine,47 grams of fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine, multiple OxyContin and diazepam pills, along with over $13,000 in currency, bladed weapons and several other items to support drug trafficking.
As a result of the enforcement, 28 year-old Olivia Michelle BELHUMEUR and 27 year-old Connor NECHIPORENKO, both of Regina, SK., were arrested and charged with the following offences:
Olivia BELHUMEUR:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl - S.5(2) CDSA;
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine – S.5(2) CDSA;
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine – S.5(2) CDSA;
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking diazepam – S.5(2) CDSA;
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking OxyContin – S.5(2) CDSA;
- Possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000 – S.355 CC; and
- Dangerous Driving [CC 249(1)(a)]
Connor NECHIPORENKO:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine – S.5(2) CDSA;
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl - S.5(2) CDSA;
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine – S.5(2) CDSA;
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking diazepam – S.5(2) CDSA;
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking OxyContin – S.5(2) CDSA;
Both BELHUMEUR and NECHIPORENKO made their first court appearances on these charges before Provincial Court at 9:00 a.m. on April 9, 2021 (today).
