A thirty-three year old male and a thirty-one year old male are facing numerous charges related to a residential Break and Enter which occurred overnight in Regina.
On Saturday May 29, 2021, at approximately 4:15am police were dispatched to a report of a break and enter in progress in the 3000 block of Avonhurst Drive. It was reported to police that suspects entered the residence and stole keys to a Chevrolet Silverado. The victim heard the vehicle drive away.
The suspect vehicle was located a short time later on Victoria Avenue from Aurora Boulevard. A member of the Regina Police Service successfully deployed a Tire Deflation Device and the suspect vehicle came to a stop in the 1200 block of Graham Road where two adult male suspects were arrested nearby without incident.
Thirty-three-year old Ronald Devon ZERR, of Regina, is charged with the following offences:
- Break Enter and Commit [348(1)(b) CC];
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 [355(a) CC];
- Fail to Comply with a Probation Order [733.1(1) CC];
- Possession of Break-In Instrument [351(1) CC];
- Operate Conveyance Dangerous to Public [320.13(1)]
Thirty-one-year old Shawn Scott PERREAULT, of Regina, is charged with the following offences:
- Break Enter and Commit [348(1)(b) CC];
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 [355(a) CC];
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 [355(b) CC];
- Possession of Break-In Instrument [351(1) CC];
- Possession of a Weapon For a Dangerous Purpose [88 CC];
- Identity Fraud-Possession of an Identity Document [56.1(1) CC];
- Possession of a Credit Card [342(1)(c) CC]
Both accused will appear in Provincial Court, Monday May 31, 2021.
