A 30 year-old Regina male is facing charges in connection with the unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
On Sunday, June 20, 2021, just before 9:15 p.m., police were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of Elphinstone Street. The initial information indicated a male was seen in that area waving what looked like a sawed-off firearm. Police arrived and found a male matching the description of the suspect as he was leaving out of the back of the residence. In the search of the suspect, police located a pellet gun and a handful of shotgun shells. The male was subsequently charged.
Thirty year-old Michael David BLUEEYES, of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of a Weapon for a Purpose Dangerous to Public Peace, s. 88 CC;
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon, s. 90 CC; and
- 2 X Possess Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition, s. 117.01(1) CC.
BLUEEYES made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, June 21, 2021.
