An adult and a youth are facing charges in relation to a robbery and stolen auto investigation.
Early this morning (July 16, 2021), members of the Regina Police Service Canine Unit were in the area of Albert Street and 13th Avenue when they observed a vehicle that was reported stolen during a robbery on July 14, 2021.
Initially, the vehicle was southbound on Albert Street. Patrol officers located the vehicle a short time later parked in an alley in the 2300 block of Halifax Street. As they approached, officers observed a male and a female fleeing from the vehicle. The female suspect was arrested without incident. The male suspect was arrested a short time later after a brief foot pursuit. As a result:
The sixteen year-old female, who cannot be named in accordance with provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344 (1)(B)]
- Possession of a Controlled Substance [CDSA 4(1)]
- Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Over $5000 [CC 355 (A)]
The female made her first court appearance in Youth Court this afternoon (July 16, 2021) at 2:00 p.m.
Eighteen year-old Navada SHEEPSKIN of Regina is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344 (1)(B)]
- Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Over $5000 [CC 355 (A)]
- Failure to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking [CC145 (4)(A)]
SHEEPSKIN made his first court appearance on the charges in Provincial Court this afternoon (July 16, 2021) at 2:00 p.m.
