A 16-year-old youth is facing charges after a firearms incident in the area of 8th Avenue and Pasqua Street yesterday morning, August 8, 2021.
Police were called to the area after a report that a male youth holding a firearm was walking in the area. A second caller stated the male had pointed the firearm at her before walking away. Investigation led police to the 1400 block of King Street where a male youth was taken into custody. A search of the male suspect turned up a C02 pellet gun and ammunition.
As a result, a 16-year-old male is facing charges. He cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The male youth is charged with:
- Point Firearm [87 CC]
- Carry a Concealed Weapon [90 CC]
- Possession of a Weapon [88 CC]
The youth is scheduled to make his first appearance in Provincial Youth Court on September 30, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.
